Studio Goodwin Sturges functions like a family, nurturing each artist's career and developing personal relationships based on mutual respect and admiration. As a boutique agency, we are extremely selective. For inquiries regarding representation, please send along your website to [email protected]. Although we do look at and consider every submission, we cannot always individually respond to everyone due to high volume. Thank you for your understanding!
*What we are looking for*:
We take on very few new artists, so please curate and send a link to your strongest work. Please also familiarize yourself with our portfolio before submitting, as we tend not to entertain duplicates of styles we currently represent.
We are drawn to artists who have a real sense of a child’s world and ways to depict it dynamically and with heart. We seek warm, emotive characters and settings and the ability to sustain a compelling, well-paced narrative over 32 pages.
We are looking for artists who are proactive, eager to grow, take direction exceptionally well, are engaged in the children’s publishing community, and look forward to promoting their own work through blogging, school visits, readings etc… Most of all, we are drawn to forthright, compassionate, hardworking humans who share our passion for lifting, empowering, and educating our next generation of readers and leaders.
If we are interested in collaborating, it is likely that we will ask you to create several new, specific samples.
We are not currently looking for cartoonists.
We represent artists/bodies of work rather than specific projects.
